The Green Line Trip to South Goa (Panjim & Old Goa) passes:

St Catherine Chapel

Located about 100m to the west of the Church of St Francis of Assisi stands the Chapel of St Catherine.It was built by Portuguese conqueror Afonso de Albuquerque in 1510 to commemorate his triumphant entry into the city on St Catherine’s Day. In 1534 the chapel was granted cathedral status by Pope Paul III and was subsequently rebuilt; the inscribed stone added during rebuilding states that Afonso de Albuquerque actually entered the city at this spot.
ASI Museum – The museum was established in 1964. Housed in the convent portion of the church of St. Francis of Assisi, antiquities displayed in 8 galleries include the objects from the prehistoric and early historic period to the late mediaeval period. The importance of this museum lies in the display of the portrait paintings of governours and viceroys, wooden sculptures, pillars, capitals, postal stamps likewise many other objects which belong to the Portuguese period in Goa.

Se Cathedral

It was commissioned by Governor George Cabral to be enlarged in 1552 on the remains of an earlier structure. Construction of the church began in 1562 in the reign of King Dom Sebastiao. The cathedral was completed in 1619 and was consecrated in 1640.

Arch of Viceroy

The Arch of the Viceroys was constructed by the great-grandson of the famous Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama. Francis da Gama was the Viceroy of Goa from 1597 to 1600, and he constructed this monument, in 1599, as a tribute to his great-grandfather, who is especially known for having discovered the sea-route to India and Goa.

Basilica of Bom Jesus

The Basilica of Bom Jesus is located in Goa, India, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The basilica holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. The church is located in Old Goa, which was the capital of Goa in the early days of Portuguese rules.

St Augustine Tower

The church was built on top of the Monte Santo (Holy Hill), between 1597 and 1602 by Augustinian friars who landed in Goa in 1587. The vault of the church collapsed in 1842. The body collapsed soon after and by 1871, the bell was moved from the tower to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church in Panjim, where it remains to date. In 1931, the facade of the church and half the tower collapsed and by 1938, most of the other parts had also collapsed. Currently, only half the tower remains, and it is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Goa.

Ribandar Patto

Ribandar is a very serenely located between the main city of Panjim and Old Goa in the district of Tiswadi. The Rio De Ourem separates it from Panjim and forms a large marshy estuary along the Mandovi.

Panjim Church

The Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church is located in Panjim, Goa, India. This church houses the ancient bell that was removed from the Augustinian ruins of the Church of Our Lady of Grace in the once famed city of Old Goa. This bell is considered to be the second-largest of its kind in Goa, surpassed only by the Golden Bell which resides in the Sé Cathedral in Old Goa.

Goa Science Center

Goa Science Centre is located on New Marine Highway, Miramar, Panjim. It also has a huge outdoor park complete with lush green lawns and exotic flowers. Visitors can walk through this park while learning and interacting with the large exhibits along the way. It also boasts a fully air-conditioned auditorium with 140 seating capacity where Science Film Shows and other multimedia presentations are shown to the public.

Dona Paula

Dona Paula is a former village, and tourist destination, in the suburbs of Panaji, Goa, India. It is today home to the National Institute of Oceanography, and just alongside it lie the Goa University and the International Centre Goa.

Miramar Beach

Miramar is the beach area of the Goan capital of Panjim, also known as Panaji and is one of the most visited beaches of Goa. It is one of the two only beaches in Panjim, other being Caranzalem beach.

Kala Academy

Kala Academy is a prominent cultural centre run by the Government of Goa, in Goa, India. Situated at Campal, Panjim, it is registered as a society and was started in February 1970. Goa State Museum

Goa State Museum, also known as the State Archaeology Museum, Panaji, is a museum in Goa, India. Established in 1977, it contains departments including Ancient History and Archaeology, Art and Craft, and Geology. The museum, as of 2008, had about 8,000 artifacts on display, including stone sculptures, wooden objects, carvings, bronzes, paintings, manuscripts, rare coins, and anthropological objects. The museum is currently located in Patto, behind the Panjim Main Bus depot.

Candolim Beach

Sinquerim beach is a small beach located at the southernmost point of the Calangute – Candolim beach stretch. On the rights side of the beach lies the Taj Holiday Village. To the left of Sinquerim beach lies the lowerAguada fort. The bastion of the fort, thrusting into the sea, bisects the beach into two.

Fort Aguada

Fort Aguada and its lighthouse is a well-preserved seventeenth-century Portuguese fort standing in Goa, India, on Sinquerim Beach, overlooking the Arabian Sea. The fort was constructed in 1612 to guard against the Dutch and the Marathas. It was a reference point for the vessels coming from Europe at that time.

If I book Goa sightseeing 2 days ticket on Sunday then can I use the same ticket for Tuesday?

Yes you can pre book a 24hours ticket for a particular date. When it comes to a 48 hour ticket or a two day pass for the south central and north routes the ticket has to be utilised on consecutive days.

Can I utilise Goa Sightseeing two days ticket on any day of my choice?

Yes you can! But it has to be two consecutive days. Just let our customer care knows about the travel dates. They will do the needful/ Please note: The travel dates should be within 7 days of the date of travel mentioned on the ticket.

How many tourist places can be visited in one day. Which Sightseeing option is better for me one day or two days?

If you have only a day for Goa Sightseeing, it would be best to choose one day sightseeing tour. You can easily visit 7-8 places in one day and rest of the remaining places out of 20 can be seen from outside. We strongly recommend to go for If you have two days then you can comfortably see all the tourist destinations, that too at your own pace.

Can both routes be covered in one day?

Do you provide Guide to go along with us inside the monuments?

HOHO Bus starts at 09:00 am from HOHO Center, ParyatanBhavan, PattoCenter, Panjim, Goa. The services are active till 18:00 hrs. Do mention, last pick up at 17:30 from any given point. The bus parks at 18:30.

How much time you provide at each spot for sightseeing?

You are free to explore places at your own pace and spend as much time you want to. To go to the next spot, you can take any HOHO Bus which come at the designated HOHO Bus stops at a frequency of 45 mins and 60 mins in Red and Green route respectively.

What time the tour ends?

Tour ends around 5:30 pm. However,you are free to start and end your tour as per your own convenience.

What is the duration of the tour?

HOHO Buses ply from morning 09:00 am to 6:00 pm. 5:30 pm is the last bus from any given point.

Is it compulsory to start the tour from HOHO Center, ParyatanBhavan or can I board from any of the HOHO Bus Stop?

No, You can board the bus at multiple points.
